If in the previous post, we discussed a replacement application for Winrar / Winzip , this time we are still discussing the same file types, namely ZIP, RAR or other compressed files. Usually we compress or decompress using an application installed on the computer, but in fact we can extract and create the file online. To do this we can use some of the services available on the internet.

These online services include:

Openrarfile / Openzipfile

The service from Openrarfile / openzipfile is a free service and free for us to use. To extract or create a RAR / ZIP file, we just have to choose which file to extract or create then click Extract / Compress.

The disadvantages of this service are:

It is relatively longer because we need to wait for the upload and download files to be extracted or compressed.

The file size is limited to a maximum of 25 Mb.

The file types supported by the free service are limited to .zip, .tar, .tgz and .rar.

Just go straight to using this service, go to: www.openrarfile.com

Just like the previous services, Wobzip also provides online compress or decompress services. However, these services are not differentiated, all services can be used for free. Other advantages, namely:

Maximum file size of 100 Mb.

Supports more file types, namely: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZHCHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS.

Can open compressed password files.

Can compress files that have not been downloaded / files that are on another server. (Of course it must be a direct link)

Antivirus scans, files that are decompressed, first scanned, and files with viruses will be removed by this service, so that when downloaded will be safe for our computers.

It's easy to compress, just select the file you want to compress or decompress and click the "Wobzip!" Button. To use this service go to: www.wobzip.com

The service for compressing or decompressing online files does have a weakness, namely we have to wait for the upload and download processes to be compressed or decompressed. However, we can use this service to send compressed files or to internet cafe / school computers where there is no compression application.
